国家植物园4月18日在北京正式揭牌。此次设立的国家植物园，是在中国科学院植物研究所（南园）和北京市植物园（北园）现有条件的基础上扩容增效整合而成，总规划面积近600公顷。新组建的国家植物园将收集植物3万种以上，并收藏五大洲代表性植物标本500万份。国家植物园还将同上百个国家的植物园和专业机构建立合作关系，搭建国际综合交流分享合作平台。
The China National Botanical Garden was officially inaugurated in Beijing on Monday. With a planned area of 600 hectares, the national botanical garden builds upon the work of the Institute of Botany under the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Beijing Botanical Garden. The national botanical garden has more than 30,000 kinds of plants and 5 million representative plant specimens from five continents. Plus, it will establish cooperative relationships with botanical gardens and institutions in hundreds of countries.

面对国际环境更趋复杂严峻和国内疫情频发带来的多重考验，我国一季度国民经济开局总体平稳。国家统计局4月18日发布数据，初步核算，一季度，中国国内生产总值270178亿元，同比增长4.8%，比2021年四季度环比增长1.3%。一季度，全国规模以上工业增加值同比增长6.5%。一季度社会消费品零售总额108659亿元，同比增长3.3%。一季度全国固定资产投资同比增长9.3%。
China's first-quarter GDP expanded 4.8 percent compared to the previous year amid pressures from a more complicated international environment and a resurgence of COVID-19 cases, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Monday. The country's gross domestic product reached 27.02 trillion yuan in the first quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, China's GDP grew by 1.3 percent in the first three months of the year. The country's value-added industrial output grew 6.5 percent on a yearly basis in the first quarter. Retail sales grew by 3.3 percent to 10.87 trillion yuan in the first quarter from the same period last year, and fixed-asset investment rose by 9.3 percent year-on-year in the January-March period.

据新华社报道，十三届全国人大常委会第三十四次会议20日表决通过了新修订的职业教育法，将于2022年5月1日起施行。其中明确，职业教育是与普通教育具有同等重要地位的教育类型。为了提升职业教育认可度，新修订的职业教育法明确规定国家采取措施，提高技术技能人才的社会地位和待遇。新修订的职业教育法还增加规定，国家优化教育经费支出结构，使职业教育经费投入与职业教育发展需求相适应。
Chinese lawmakers on Wednesday voted to adopt a revision to the Vocational Education Law at a session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee. The revised law will take effect on May 1. The revision stipulates that vocational education is as important as general education. To improve the recognition of vocational education, the law calls for measures to raise the social status and treatment of technical personnel. The revision orders the country to optimize the use of education expenditure to ensure the budget for the development of vocational education.
