Further Wood Coatings progressFEYCO Shop online!Various teams from FEYCO AG and the TREFFERT Group are currently working on a number of Wood Coatings projects. And the webshop project is very prominent among them. The preparations and developments here have intensified over the last few months; and all these efforts culminated in the new FEYCO Shop going online on 1 October.The milestone follows some 18 months of careful development work. And the comprehensive new webshop – which also offers sizeable further expansion potential – will benefit customers and Wood Coatings alike, not least through its efficient ordering procedures, its automated workflows and its lower administrative expense.A team of specialist advisers was on hand to present the new online purchasing facility to our first 50 selected customers, and to help them log in and find their way around the new virtual shop. These initial activities are being regarded as a trial phase, which – subject to demand and the improvement potential identified – should last around three months.The new webshop, which will be found at www.feyco-shop.com, invites customers to browse a standard range of some 300 wood coatings products for floor and furniture applications. Encouragingly, the first online orders have already been placed. And initial customer feedback has been very positive, too, with particular praise given to the quick access to technical product specifications and the easy-to-understand customer-specific price lists. Customers have also provided a number of interesting ideas and suggestions; and the FEYCO Shop team have already acted on some of these to further enhance the online shopping experience.Several further developments are already planned for 2015. These include providing more details on a product’s current availability, by linking each product to the stock records concerned. Subject to the progress and developments between now and then, the new webshop’s customer base should also be extended within the craftspeople sector from 1 January. Still-missing industrial products will be added to the range, too; and users’ language options will be further expanded.The new webshop is an invaluable addition to FEYCO AG’s distribution channels. It also marks a first step for the company into the e-commerce world.
